KTNET joins DCSA+ to accelerate global interoperability of electronic Bills of Lading
Korea Trade Network (KTNET), the national paperless trade platform designated by the Korean government, becomes latest partner to join the DCSA+ partnership programme. KTNET is the first Asian partner and eBL platform provider joining DCSA+.As a technology solution provider, KTNET has connected export–import companies, financial institutions, and logistics providers for more than 30 years, processing tens of millions of trade documents electronically each year. By joining DCSA+, KTNET will collaborate on accelerating the adoption of DCSA standards, with a particular focus on electronic Bills of Lading (eBL).“Global trade stands at a pivotal moment of digital transformation. The global standardisation efforts led by DCSA and national trade digitalisation policies have become not just an option, but an imperative. Building on our accumulated infrastructure and technology, KTNET is moving forward to digitalise global trade beyond Korea’s borders, starting with eBL, and stands ready to forge strategic partnerships with DCSA and various global industry stakeholders to achieve this vision,” said Mr. Jae Chun Kim, Executive Managing Director, KTNET.The first areas of collaboration will include interoperability pilots between KTNET’s trade platform and carrier and technology partner systems, joint testing of eBL transfer workflows, and supporting carrier and customer adoption of DCSA-compliant eBL solutions.Welcoming KTNET to the programme, Mariana Bock-Losada, Chief Growth Officer at DCSA, said: “KTNET has been a leading force in digitalising trade in South Korea for decades. We are pleased to welcome them into the DCSA+ programme, where their expertise will help accelerate interoperability and adoption of digital documentation across the global supply chain.”KTNET’s step into DCSA+ signals the growing alignment between national digitalisation programmes and global standards. Together, KTNET, DCSA, and fellow partners are building the foundations for a paperless, standardised, and interoperable trade environment that can serve businesses and societies worldwide for decades to come.
