Samskip has joined the DCSA+ partnership programme, reinforcing the growing movement across the logistics sector to connect the ecosystem through open digital standards. As a major European transport operator with integrated operations across shortsea, rail, road and inland waterways, Samskip adds valuable multimodal expertise to the DCSA+ community. Headquartered in Rotterdam and active in over 30 countries, Samskip provides complex, high-frequency logistics services across Europe and key global trade routes. By becoming a DCSA+ partner, the company will actively contribute to shaping and implementing standards that enable practical, scalable digital solutions across transport modes. We believe the future of logistics relies not just on smart systems, but on a shared digital language,” said Ragnar Thor Ragnarsson, Chief Information Officer at Samskip. “By joining the DCSA+ Partner Program, we have the opportunity to help shape future industry standards that enhance not only our own multimodal operations but also the entire logistics ecosystem. Stronger standards lead to greater reliability, efficiency, and service quality for everyone.” The DCSA+ programme was established to accelerate standard adoption by connecting a broader group of stakeholders, including terminals, technology providers, cargo owners, forwarders, feeders and shortsea operators with the standards developed by DCSA and its carrier members. Through structured collaboration, the programme supports partners in three ways: enabling alignment (Connect), supporting implementation (Accelerate), and involving them in shaping future standards (Contribute). We are pleased to welcome Samskip to the DCSA+ programme,” said Mariana Bock-Losada, Chief Growth Officer at DCSA. “Their cross-modal operations and data-driven mindset make them an important contributor to our shared mission of shaping digital solutions that are scalable and aligned with industry needs.” Samskip’s participation underscores a shared commitment to interoperable systems, simplified data exchange, and the removal of fragmentation in container logistics. As standard adoption gains traction, DCSA+ partners play a key role in ensuring that implementation is aligned with real operational challenges across the supply chain.
